Street Repairs Planned Across Palos Verdes Estates

Construction and road work are planned in Palos Verdes Estates, city officials said.

PALOS VERDES ESTATES, CA — Construction and road work are planned in Palos Verdes Estates, city officials announced Tuesday.

"The City’s Contractor, Onyx Paving Co., has started work on the FY 19/20 Miscellaneous Street Repairs Project," the city said in a news release.

Construction is planned for weekdays from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Work will not be conducted on New Year’s Day Jan. 1 and Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Jan. 18.

"The general items of work include, but are not limited to, cold milling existing AC pavement, asphalt concrete overlay, localized full-depth pavement repairs, localized concrete repairs, pavement striping and markings and the construction of AC curb," according to the city.

Parking will be temporarily prohibited in certain areas for limited periods during construction and will be identified by the advanced posting of “Temporary No-Parking Signs,” city officials said.

Street sweeping schedules, trash and recycling collection will not be disrupted. Parking restrictions will be removed following the completion of work.

Construction is expected to end in mid-February.

"Our goal is to minimize impacts and to complete the work as soon as possible," city officials said.
