With over a dozen sign carrying protesters and supporters and a Mariachi Band in tow, Omar Navarro asked
the question “What has she done for the 43rd District?” She lives and hour away in a $4 million dollar
mansion, while parts of the district she claims to represent continue to see an increase in crime,
homelessness and fall into disrepair. How does her focus on Trumps taxes and impeachment, serve the
constituents of the 43rd District, he asked, while his supporters held signs reading #ImpeachMaxine.

The 28 year old Omar Navarro ran against Waters in 2016 and he’s getting an early start for 2018, a non
presidential election year which historically has produced low voter turnout for Democrats. Navarro stated,
as a path to victory, I need the support all Republicans and Independents in the 43rd district while we also
work on registering the 400,000 unregistered voters in a district that is now 54% Latino.

Waters won with only 69,000 votes in 2014 the last non Presidential election cycle. There are 54,000
registered Republicans and over 90,000 Independents in Navarro's district
Signs reading #ImpeachMaxine, The 43rd District Is Not In Hancock Park, Straight Outta Torrance, a
Mariachi Band playing in the background, and passerbys honking their horns in support were in full
display as Navarro brought his message of unity and integrity
An African American supporter for Navarro waving a "No Justice, No Paycheck" sign said she supports
Navarro because Representative Waters isn't helping the black community: “I wanna hear 'impeach or
recall Maxine Waters.' We have had enough... She is not helping the black community... Omar is for all
Americans regardless of the color of their skin. Omar is in touch with everybody in the community. He
wants what's best for American citizens, and that's the way it should be.”
This is Omar Navarro's second time running for the 43rd Congressional District Seat in California. The
district is centered in South Los Angeles County and includes portions of the Cities of Los Angeles, Carson,
Gardena and Torrance. It includes the entirety of the cities of Hawthorne, Lawndale, Inglewood and
Lomita. NOT Hancock Park. Be sure to follow Omar at OmarNavarro.com for events, interviews and
