Alameda Co. Decorates Courthouse to Support Warriors

The Oakland Courthouse will be lit up in blue and gold to support the Golden State Warriors as they push for a place in the NBA Finals.

From Alameda County: Once again, Alameda County is lighting up its iconic the Rene C. Davidson Courthouse in Oakland in blue and gold to support the Golden State Warriors as the team makes its push for a place in the National Basketball Association Finals for the third year in a row.

In addition to the bold LED exterior lighting at the granite courthouse at 1225 Fallon Street, large blue and gold banners bearing the slogan, “Strength in Numbers” now adorn the courthouse and several other buildings in and around the Alameda County complex near Oakland’s Lake Merritt.
For the first time, a banner now hangs from the office building at 1111 Jackson Street, the newest addition to the network of County buildings in Oakland.

The banners and lighting are in place as the Warriors get ready for Game 1 for the NBA Western Conference Semifinals Tuesday at Oakland’s Oracle Arena. The Warriors’ opponent in that series will be the winner of Sunday’s game between the Utah Jazz and the Los Angeles Clippers.
