Best-Selling Author Joyce Maynard Speaks at Montclair Library Tuesday

Maynard recently moved to Skyline Boulevard in Montclair.

Best-selling author Joyce Maynard — who recently moved to the Oakland hills — will appear at the Montclair Branch Library, 1687 Mountain Blvd., on Tuesday, Nov. 26, at 6:30 p.m.

Maynard will talk about her new novel, After Her, and about her writing career and the art of storytelling.

A Great Good Place for Books will have copies of After Her available for purchase and signing following Maynard's talk.

The novel is based loosely on the Trailside Killings that took palce in Marin county in the 1970s and '80s.

Maynard, whose books have appeared frequently on the New York Times' best seller list, is also the author of Labor Day. A film adaptation starring Kate Winslet will have a limited release in late December and wider release in January.
