The California Highway Patrol has reopened the Lakeshore Avenue/Park Boulevard on-ramp on westbound Interstate Highway 580 in Oakland following a fatality in an overturned car this morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Officers responded to reports of a white Ford Escape overturned on its roof at the on-ramp around 2:35 a.m., the CHP said.
One person was trapped under the car and died, according to the CHP.
The roadway was cleared shortly before 5 a.m., the CHP said.
