Group Art Show Opening Highlights Tonight's First Thursday on Grand
First Thursdays on Grand run from 6 to 9 p.m., with free admission to art exhibits at local galleries and discounts at many Grand Avenue businesses in the blocks between the Grand Lake Theater and Ace Hardware.
An opening reception for the group art show "Mysteries of the Organism" will be a highlight of today's First Thursdays on Grand event.
The show, which runs through Feb. 23, is on exhibit at The Gallery @ Panorama Framing, 3350 Grand Ave., Oakland. The exhibit includes new works by four Bay Area artists:Â Melissa Bolger, Bridget May, Kelly Correll Brown and Adrienne Heloise.
Tonight's reception, from 6 to 9 p.m., includes wine, snacks, jazz improvisations by Oluyemi Thomas and an opportunity to meet the artists.

Other First Thursday events tonight include continuing exhibitions at seven additional galleries, plus discounts and specials at many Grand Avenue businesses.
