I-880 Overnight Closure Planned
The overnight closure will allow CalTrans to remove the temporary support of the new 23rd Avenue bridge.

OAKLAND, CA -- Southbound Interstate Highway 880 will be closed at 23rd Avenue from 11:59 p.m. Sunday until 5 a.m. Monday as CalTrans continues work on a new over crossing.
The overnight closure will allow CalTrans to remove the temporary support of the new 23rd Avenue bridge tentatively scheduled to open Friday.
Motorists should exit at 23rd Avenue, follow the detour along Kennedy Street and enter the I-880 on-ramp on the left.

Flaggers will be in place to assist motorists, along with changeable message signs and directional signs.
