Oakland Murder Victim Identified
The victim was shot to death near Prescott Elementary School Monday afternoon.
OAKLAND, CA - A man who was fatally shot in West Oakland on Monday afternoon has been identified by police as 27-year-old Brandon Bell, who formerly lived in Richmond but had recently moved to Oakland.
Bell was shot in the 1600 block of Eighth Street, near Prescott Elementary School, shortly after 4 p.m. Monday.
He was taken to Highland Hospital in Oakland but was pronounced dead there a short time later.
