PHS Women's Tennis Team Wins NCS Division II Championship
The next step: Northern California Regional Championship play.
The Piedmont High School women's tennis team clinched the NCS (North Coast Section) Division II title Saturday with a 6-1 win over Branson High School.
The team entered sectional championship lay as the top seed, with a 22-3 record at that point.
The 2013 CIF USTA Northern California Girls Tennis Regional Championship presented by Farmers will be held on Friday, Nov. 22, and Saturday, Nov. 23, at the Natomas Racquet Club in Sacramento.
The Northern Regional Bracket will be announced by CIF (California Interscholastic Federation)Â the afternoon of Wednesday, Nov. 20, after the conclusion of CIF section championships.
