PHS Women's Volleyball Moves to 2nd Round of NCS Championships
The team defeated Kelseyville High in first-round play Wednesday.
The Piedmont High School women's volleyball team faces a tough contender Saturday when they play top-seeded Marin Catholic High School in the second round of of the NCS (North Coast Section) Division IV championships.
Saturday's game is scheduled for 7 p.m. in Kentfield.
The eighth-seeded PHS team defeated Kelseyville High School 25-19, 25-17, 25-15 on Wednesday, Nov. 13, in first-round NCS play.
Team effort was highlighted by Monica Woolcott’s 18 kills and freshman Carly Bland’s seven solo blocks.Â
The Highlanders entered the championships with an 18-10 record for the season.
