Piedmont School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in Piedmont is August 15. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The Piedmont Unified has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

Here is the full list of dates to know for this school year:

• 8/14: Teacher Day, Fall Sports Begin
• 8/15: First Day of School

September

• 9/4: No School (Labor Day)

November

• 11/10: No School (Veterans Day)
• 11/22 - 11/24: No School (Thanksgiving)

December

• 12/21: End of First Semester
• 12/22 - 1/5: No School (Winter Break)

January

• 1/1 - 1/5: No School (Winter Break)
• 1/15: No School ( Martin Luther King Jr., Day)

February

• 2/19 - 2/23: No School (President's Week)

April

• 4/2 - 4/6: No School (Spring Break)

May

• 5/7: AP Testing Begins
• 5/28: No School (Memorial Day)
• 5/31: Last Day of School

June

• 6/1: Teacher Day
• 6/4: Professional Development Day
