Sig-Alert On I-880 For Big Rig Crash Cleared
The injury accident had forced the closure of all but one lane.

OAKLAND, CA — The CHP has canceled a sig-alert for southbound I-880 at Fruitvale in Oakland after a 3 vehicle crash involving a big -rig was cleaned up. At one point, just one lane was open. The crash also impacted I-580 as trucks were being allowed on the road.
The injury crash was reported just after 9:30 a.m. Initially, the CHP reported that just one lane was blocked. However, a fuel leak exacerbated problems and created a fire hazard.
There is no word on the seriousness of the injuries.
