Victim Identified: Pedestrian in Sidewalk Killed
The accident happened Saturday morning just before 8 a.m. The elderly woman was crossing International Boulevard in Oakland.
A woman struck by a car and killed as she crossed International Boulevard in Oakland on Saturday has been identified as 69-year-old Pui Ng, according to the Alameda County coroner’s bureau. The coroner’s bureau did not have information on Ng’s city of residence, but said her next of kin appeared to live in Oakland.
Ng was killed around 7:50 a.m. Saturday in the 5700 block of International Boulevard, according to police. She was struck by an eastbound vehicle as she walked in the crosswalk, police said.
Paramedics took her to the hospital, where she died of her injuries.

The driver did not appear to be under the influence of alcohol, police said.
