They may or may not be true when it comes to homes, but for some people older houses are simply quainter and more "lived in."

This week, we thought we'd try to find the oldest home for sale in each of our communities.

In Pinole, there's this two-bedroom, one-bathroom house at 1035 Pinole Valley Road built in 1926.

The 1,074-square-foot residence sits on a ninth of an acre. The list price is $272,000.
