Assistance League Way Side Inn Thrift Shop Kicks Off Sports-A-Rama!

Highly coveted items from west coast professional and college teams will include official logo merchandise.

Proud to wear their chapter colors, the blue-smocked member volunteers at Assistance League Way Side Inn Thrift Shop, located at 3521 Golden Gate Way, in Lafayette, will enter yet another arena on Tuesday, September 16, as they kick off their Sports-A-Rama event.  Highly coveted items from west coast professional and college teams will include official logo merchandise from the San Francisco Forty Niners and Giants, Oakland Raiders and A’s, San Jose Sharks, Golden State Warriors, as well as the University of California, Stanford and other west coast colleges.

Reliving each play, official call, time out and upset with the purchase of bobble heads, mugs, cups, memorabilia and sports equipment too numerous to mention will rekindle the love of the game, the love of ALL games.  Of special interest, donate baseball cards complete with serial numbers, as in authenticity check, and high end collectors’ dolls will help explain an anticipated sell-out crowd.  There’s still time on the clock for you to donate any Sports-A-Rama items you might have accumulated from season to season; don’t forget to signal for a tax donation receipt.

As with any team effort, challenge sweetens the victory.  Your purchases and generous donations will help Assistance League of Diablo Valley challenge economic disparity in our community and, consequently, bridge the learning gap among children and students of all ages.  As important, your support will challenge hunger in the community and isolation among our seniors.  You will learn more about this win-win opportunity when you visit our website:  diablovalley.assistanceleague.org.
