The restaurant thanked Contra Costa agencies and local construction crews for their support and work during renovations.

PLEASANT HILL, CA – Black Angus Steakhouse in Pleasant Hill is set for a Sunday re-opening after repairs and renovations due to a 2017 electrical fire at the restaurant on North Main Street.

“We are pleased to announce the re-opening of our Pleasant Hill location,” said Chris Ames, Black Angus chief executive officer. “We would like to thank the local Contra Costa County agencies for their support and the construction crew for its hard work throughout the renovation.”

No injuries were reported in the July 2017 blaze, where responding crews found a large PG&E transformer on fire with flames spreading to the exterior of the eatery, Contra Costa Fire Protection District Fire Marshal Robert Marshall said at the time.
