Black Angus Steakhouse Closes Pleasant Hill Location

"We have decided to stop operations at our Pleasant Hill location to take advantage of a potential relocation opportunity."

PLEASANT HILL, CA— Black Angus Steakhouse has shuttered its Pleasant Hill location for good as a proposed hotel development continues to gain traction in the local community, the company announced in a late-July news release.

"We have decided to stop operations at our Pleasant Hill location to take advantage of a potential relocation opportunity and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause," said Chris Ames, CEO of Black Angus Steakhouse. "We feel connected to our Pleasant Hill family and are actively pursuing other opportunities to continue servicing the area for years to come."

"During this time, the nearby Brentwood, Dublin, and Vallejo Black Angus Steakhouse locations will be open to service all of our Pleasant Hill customers," company officials said.

The company did not immediately respond to an email about where it may relocate the Pleasant Hill location, which opened nearly 45 years ago at 3195 Main St. on Oct. 16, 1975, and permanently closed July 24, 2019.

News of the closing came about a year after the Pleasant Hill Black Angus reopened after a fire.
