The Save the Pleasant Hill Dome group was tentatively planning a "memorial march" and candlelight vigil for May 20, the day of the next Pleasant Hill City Council Meeting. However, the council meeting has been cancelled and "dome" supporters have decided to reschedule too.
"We are weighing our options," organizers wrote on the group's website and in an email to supporters.
A firm date and plan for the commemorative event has not yet been set.
Save the Pleasant Hill Dome, a non-profit organization founded to try and save the 46-year-old theater from demolition, is asking "dome" supporters to contact the city council about the decision to scrap the structure.
Mayor Michael G. Harris and Councilmember Ken Carlson voted in favor of the "dome" appeal, while Vice Mayor Jack Weir, Councilmember David E. Durant, and Councilmember Tim Flaherty voted against it. The "dome" was demolished May 8.
Pleasant Hill City Council members can be contacted through the city's website or at the address for City Hall: 100 Gregory Lane,  Pleasant Hill, CA 94523.
