Part of Buskirk Avenue in Pleasant Hill was closed for around an hour Thursday morning because of a significant gas leak in the area, police said.
The road was shut off from Monument Boulevard to Hookston Road just after 10 a.m. and motorists were encouraged to use southbound Interstate Highway 680 or Mohr Lane as alternate routes.
The leak was not considered a threat to the public, say police. It was capped and Buskirk Avenue was reopened just before noon.
