Grants Available For Public and Non-Profit Projects in Pleasant Hill
The Pleasant Hill Community Foundation is seeking applicants for its 2013 Community Grant. Previous projects have included playgrounds, public art, renovation of the pool and more.

What should be Pleasant Hill's next community project? A new park? Better equipment at an old one? A collaborative mural to beautify the city?
Local public and non-profit organizations are invited to submit proposals to The Pleasant Hill Community Foundation (PHCF), which is offering to fund projects that "benefit the citizens of Pleasant Hill."
PHCF has funded the following projects in the past few years:

- The establishment of the Pleasant Hill Library fund, "to increase community awareness of the educational and cultural resources of the library through fundraising and advocacy" and "build a state of the art library building in Pleasant Hill, providing a strong foundation for our community's future."
- The creation of the Spraygound at Pleasant Hill Aquatic Park
- The installation of lights at the College Park High School tennis courts
- Renovation of the Pleasant Hill Education Center PoolÂ
- The building of a playground at Pleasant Hill Park
- The installation of new tiles at Pleasant Hill City Hall
Last year's Community Grant winners included College Park High School for Grad Nite, The Pleasant Hill Library for new book collections and Rehabilitation Services for a television for their Alzheimer's Program. A fill list of the 2012 winners is available on the PHCF website.
“The Foundation is again very proud to be able to provide this opportunity to organizations in our community that enrich the lives of the residents of Pleasant Hill through cultural, educational and recreational activities," said Grants Allocation Chair Adrianne Roe as quoted in a press release posted on Patch.
