Here are some statistics about what boys experience growing up. Boys tend not to say anything because they want to fit the stereotype of "being a man."

Suicide is the 3rd leading cause of death. Boys are 5 times more likely to commit suicide.

1 in 5 boys are sexually molested. This statistic may be low because most boys never report being molested fearing they will be called gay.

This is only part of what boys grow up experiencing. Is it a big surprise that we have men abusing drugs and alcohol, women, children and walking around angry committing violent crimes.

We have generation after generation of boys who never say anything or ask for help so they can "be a man." When are we going to change this stereotype so boys can express their feelings and ask for help and not have to fear being teased? If we want our world to change, we must helps boys as they are growing up. Otherwise, they grow up to be like the President making terrible comments about women, but it is excused as "locker room talk."
