Local Restaurateur Opening East Bay Burger Joint

The new eaterie will the first Wayback Burgers location owned and operated by local franchisee Khawaja Ahsan and his wife, Ambreen Khawaja.

EAST BAY, CA -- Wayback Burgers, a restaurant chain specializing in American-style cuisine like hamburgers, fries and milkshakes, has announced its newest California restaurant is slated to open this spring at 4375 Clayton Road in Concord.

The restaurant is the first Wayback Burgers location owned and operated by local franchisee, Khawaja Ahsan, and his wife, Ambreen Khawaja, and is the 14th store announced in California. Once opened, Wayback Burgers of Concord is expected to add 10 new jobs to the local economy.

“We are thrilled to announce the opening of our Wayback Burgers restaurant in Concord,” franchisee Khawaja Ahsan said. “We believe the area is a great fit for the brand.”

The chain currently has six locations in California, including in Milptas, Tracy and Firebaugh. The Connecticut-based company says at present, it has locations in 26 states, with new locations opening at a rate of two to three per month.
