No BART Service Between Pleasant Hill, Concord This Weekend
Tracks between the two cities are closed this Memorial Day weekend.
CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA— No trains will run between the Pleasant Hill and Concord BART stations this Memorial Day weekend as crews do various maintenance work on the tracks and other equipment, according to the transit agency. Starting Saturday morning and continuing through Monday, BART will
run free buses between the two stations, with 20-minute delays expected for passengers.
The closure will allow BART's maintenance team to replace electrical and train control equipment, replace a drainage system, replace and resurface rails and ballast, and remove or trim trees that could interfere with the trains.
During this weekend, the last two San Francisco International Airport/Millbrae-bound trains from the Pittsburg/Bay Point line each day — at 11:23 p.m. and 11:45 p.m. — will also be canceled.
