Planning Commish to Discuss Crossroads Shopping Center Plans Tuesday
The developer told city officials that the possibility of keeping a theater at the site will be addressed at the meeting.

More than 30 members of a Pleasant Hill cohousing community signed a letter last week protesting plans to demolish the dome-shaped theater at the Crossroads Shopping Center and replace it with a sporting goods store.
Their objections come as the city’s Planning Commission reviews revised plans from the developer on Tuesday. The letter from residents of Pleasant Hill Cohousing on Lisa Lane argues that the loss of a movie theater would be a blow to the city’s cultural life, the dome building should be preserved as a local landmark, and that a sporting goods store is a poor fit for that location.
