Road Closures For July 4th In Pleasant Hill

Day includes a run, park fun, parade and fireworks!

News from the Pleasant Hill Police Department:

PLEASANT HILL, CA -- The 4th of July is Monday, and we have activities planned all day long!

From 6:30 a.m. until noon, please expect closures and heavy delays in the areas of Contra Costa Boulevard from Woodsworth to Boyd Road, as well as Cleaveland Road from Boyd Road to Gregory Lane due to the parade and other festivities.

Our annual fireworks show will begin at approximately 9:20 p.m. at College Park High School.

Viking Drive will be closed to vehicular traffic between Norse and Ruth drives from 8:45 p.m. until 10:30 p.m.

Other areas subject to detours or other delays are Taylor Boulevard at Civic Drive, Taylor at Norse Drive, Taylor at Mercury Way, Norse at Civic, Norse at Viking Drive, Viking at Morello Avenue, and Viking at Ruth Drive.

Due to the number of visitors, please expect significant traffic delays. Traffic should be back to normal by 11 p.m. Thank you for your support, and we hope you have a happy and safe 4th of July!
