The Pleasant Hill Community Foundation is again pleased to offer its Tikkun Olam Scholarships. These scholarships were established in 2003 by Dawn Block and Dr. Michael Harris to recognize one exceptional graduating senior student from College Park High School who has demonstrated the true spirit of Tikkun Olam throughout his or her high school years. Beginning in 2008, two students have received scholarships each year.
Tikkun Olam is the Hebrew term for "repairing the world," wherein each individual is held accountable for contributing to the betterment of our world. Through this student's efforts, the world has been made a better place.
