Teacher From Pleasant Hill Arrested On Sex-Abuse Charges: Sheriff
The Pleasant Hill woman is a high school teacher and her victims, the sheriff's office says, were students more than 20 years ago.

PLEASANT HILL, CA — A Pleasant Hill woman who works as a teacher has been arrested on felony sex charges involving former students of hers, the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office reports. Kyle Ann Wood, 54, is currently a teacher at Miramonte High School in Orinda. The "alleged inappropriate and unlawful relationships between Wood and two minors" happened between 1996 and 1998 when she taught at Acalanes High School in Lafayette, sheriff's Spokesman Jimmy Lee said.
Wood was arrested Wednesday evening at her Pleasant Hill home and booked into the Martinez Jail where she was being held on $150,000 bail.
The investigation into Wood was opened by the Lafayette Police Department, with assistance from the Sheriff's Office Investigation Division. The victims were students at Acalanes High School at the time of the incidents Wood is accused in.

The Contra Costa District Attorney's Office has officially filed felony sex charges against Wood.
