Teen Center Gets Prepped for After-School Programs
The Pleasant Hill Teen Center is hosting an open house on Aug. 21 to showcase classes and activities planned for fall.

Summer is dwindling and the start of a new school year is right around the corner. The Pleasant Hill Teen Center is preparing for a fall schedule of after-school activities and inviting families to take a tour, learn about programs and sign up for the year.
The event takes place Wednesday, Aug. 21 at the Pleasant Hill Teen Center, 147 Gregory Lane, from 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Parents and teens will have an opportunity to meet the staff of the teen center, see class demonstrations and try out games and activities.
Membership at the Pleasant Hill Teen Center is $25 per year for Pleasant Hill residents and $35 per year for non-residents. The after-school program is for grades 6 to 12 and runs from Aug. 28, every school day from the end of classes to 6 p.m. Bus transportation from Pleasant Hill Middle School and Valley View Middle School to the teen center is available for $2 per day.
The after-school program includes homework help, access to computers, games like ping pong and pool, fitness classes and sports equipment and a monthly activity calendar.
