Weekend Events: Mangini Farms BBQ, American Iron Car Show & More

Mangini Farms Barbecue

Louie Mangini hosts the annual barbecue at Mangini Farms on Pleasant Hill Road near Taylor Boulevard Saturday, Aug. 10 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event helps fund the Rodgers Ranch wheat barn restoration and includes live music and "a chicken poop contest." Tickets are $50 per person, $90 per couple and $20 for children ages 10 to 15. Pleasant Hill Farmers' Market

The downtown Pleasant Hill farmers' market takes place from 9 a.m to 1 p.m. Saturdays on Crescent Drive in the downtown plaza.

American Iron Car Show

Pre-80's American cars will be on display in downtown Pleasant Hill Sunday, Aug. 11 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the 12th Annual American Iron Car Show. Register your car for a $28 fee. The event is free and open to the public.

Classic Movie: "Dirty Dancing"

The Century 16 theater in Pleasant Hill plays a different classic movie every week on Sundays at 2 p.m. and Wednesdays at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. as part of the Cinemark Classic Series. This week's feature is 1987's "Dirty Dancing."
