What's Your Pick of the Pizza Pies at Zachary's?

Everyone has a favorite — whether it's an old one from another Zachary's location, or a new discovery at the Pleasant Hill restaurant. Share your pizza pie pick here.

The East Bay food scene is very proud of Zachary's Chicago Pizza — an annual award winner and local favorite that draws a crowd every day to its four locations in the Bay Area.

The newest location is right here in Pleasant Hill, and already the citizens of the area are playing favorites with their pizza pies. According to Kevin Suto, the SEO of Zachary's, the stuffed spinach and mushroom pizza is the most popular pick with visiting foodies.

What makes the pizza so special? Locals will tell you it's the deep dish. Here's the mouthwatering description of what goes into a "stuffed" pizza:

A thin layer of our house made pizza dough is tucked into a deep dish pizza pan. We fill the pie with the highest quality cheese and any combination of fresh toppings. Another thin layer of dough is then added to cover the filling. The pizza is then topped with our zesty, diced tomato sauce and is slowly cooked in our oven. The top layer of dough will melt into the cheese and seal in flavor as our flaky, buttery crust bakes until it is golden brown.

These stuffed pies take about 40 minutes to prepare. To browse the entire  Zachary's menu, visit Zacharys.com.
