The Most Expensive Home For Sale in Pleasanton
Check out this large house on 77 acres that's selling for more than eight times the median price in town

Home prices continued to rise this summer, although the pace of home sales slowed.
In the Bay Area, the median price paid for a house in June was $555,000, the highest level since December 2007. The figure was 33 percent higher than June 2012, according to a report from DataQuick.
In Contra Costa County, the median price was $415,000, a 31 percent rise from a year ago. In Alameda County, it was $540,000, a 44 percent increase, according to DataQuick.
In Pleasanton, the median price for a home sold in June was $785,000, up 5 percent from a year ago, according to the website RealtyTrac.
The most expensive house we could find on the market in Pleasanton was this five-bedroom, 6.5-bathroom home at 4140 Foothill Road.
The 8,590-square-foot residence on 77 acres is listed at almost $6.9 million, more than eight times the city's median price.
