
Paula Booth of Ramona, passed away from complications of a previous stroke on February 5, 2012, surrounded by her family. A life-long resident of San Diego, Paula was born to John and Aileen Sprague in Solana Beach on November 25, 1946. She grew up in Solana Beach until she married Norbert Hamelehle in 1967, and they moved to La Mesa. After they started a family, they moved to El Cajon in 1975. Norbert died in 1985, and eventually Paula met her current husband, Michael Booth. They married on December 9, 1995. She and Michael moved to Ramona in 2000.
Paula worked as an aide for the Cajon Valley Union School district for approximately 18 years. She also worked as an aide at Ramona Lutheran School. She retired in 2001.
Paula loved to travel. She took many vacations abroad with her sister, Sarah. She also loved people. She was known for taking in friends who needed a place to stay. She had a big heart and would give you the shirt off her back.

Paula is survived by her husband, Michael Booth and her daughters: Pauline (Scott) Pfohl of Spokane, Washington and Kathy (Chris) Dennis of Ramona. Also her cherished grandchildren: Kaily, Preston, Madelyn, and Nolan. And her sisters, Linda Sprague and Sarah Sprague.
