Archer, the Turkey Who Survived an Arrow, Found Dead

Workers at the Riviera Resort and Racquet Club found him Wednesday.

An arrow couldn't take Archer out, but somehow, less than a week after he was returned to the wild, the turkey just couldn't persevere anymore.

According to The Ramona Sentinel, the body of Archer – so named because he survived for months with a arrow that had gone straight through him – was found Wednesday by workers at the Riviera Resort and Racquet Club.

Rancho San Diego Country Estates residents had been asked to look out for him after he was returned following the care he received from volunteers, including Emergency Animal Rescue. There were fears his flock would reject him.
