Blockbuster Will Close its Doors

Liquidation of its products has begun.

The store on Main Street is now liquidating its products and expects to close its doors by April at the latest.

A big yellow sign outside the store lets customers know that the closure refers to just the Ramona location, not the entire system of Blockbuster stores.

The store will keep its usual hours during the liquidation, which is expected to last four to 12 weeks, according to staff. Customers are no longer able to rent videos.

Products have been reduced by 10 percent so far, according to staff. They expect the most popular movies to be sold out soon, then products will be further reduced in price.

The Blockbuster corporate spokeperson did not respond to the Patch request for comment within the time constraints of this report.
