'Decades Serving Young and Old': Ramona Hero

We all know someone who's making a difference. Let's help share these amazing stories! Presented by Ring.

RAMONA, CA — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we're working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.

This submission comes from Greg Chick, who nominated his wife, Dr. Jane C. Tanaka of Ramona.

Hero's job: Health Care

Reason for recognition: Jane has spent decades serving young and old in family and child
adolescent psychiatry. She has accepted chicken eggs as payment, art work and even just
a smile or thank you. She treats 14 to 16 hours a day, nonstop.

One thing to know: She answers her cell 24/7.

Thank you for all you do, Dr. Tanaka!
