Dianne Jacob to Chair San Diego County Board of Supervisors
Jacob represents District 2, which includes the community of Ramona.

SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA – A day after swearing into office for a record-setting seventh term, San Diego County Supervisor Dianne Jacob was unanimously voted chairwoman of the board.
Newly sworn-in Supervisor Kristin Gaspar was selected as vice chairwoman and Greg Cox was selected as chairman pro tem. Both were also sworn in during a ceremony Monday at the Board Chambers in the San Diego County Administration Center.
Jacob accepted the gavel Tuesday from Supervisor Ron Roberts, who served as chairman in 2016.

As new chairwoman, Jacob will outline the county’s 2017 goals at the annual State of the County address on Feb. 1 at the County Operations Center in Kearny Mesa.
She plans to offer proposals to address several major challenges facing the county. The theme of the speech is “Seven in ’17: Seven ways to better serve the public and prepare for the future.”

Jacob represents District 2. The largest of the five districts, District 2 includes more than 50 communities, including Ramona, as well as the cities of El Cajon, La Mesa, Lemon Grove, Poway and Santee.
