Earthquake Near Borrego Springs​ Shakes San Diego County

The quake struck at 3:50 ​a.m. Wednesday. Did you feel it?

SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA — An earthquake struck Wednesday morning near Borrego Springs in San Diego County.

The magnitude 3.5 quake hit at 3:50 a.m. roughly 6 miles south of Borrego Springs, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

Light shaking was felt across the San Diego region. Residents in Alpine, Borrego Springs, El Cajon, Escondido, Julian, La Mesa, Lakeside, Poway, San Diego, Santee, Spring Valley and other cities reported feeling the quake, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
