Get Your Ska On

  • Ramona's ska band The Combos is putting on a free show from 6-7 p.m. at the Ramona Library, located at 1275 Main St. Click the link above to listen to some of their tunes.
Trash and Trails
  • Carlsbad Patch editor Deanne Goodman posted a picture of trash she found recently when hiking Cedar Creek. There were a lot of cigarette butts, according to the avid hiker. Weigh-in with your thoughts on the trash along the Cedar Creek Trail in the comments below.
Experiencing Ramona
  • Have you seen the newest local website, ExperienceRamona.com? According to Lezley Knott, the Economic Development Committee of the Ramona Chamber of Commerce, chaired by Carol Fowler, launched the marketing campaign to advertise Ramona regionally. 
Got the Munchies?
  • Got teens in the home bored with the seemingly-endless summer days? Send them to the Ramona Library at 3 p.m. for a teen movie with snacks! Movies and Munchies is free (and air-conditioned!).
Find Your Way to the Spotlight
  • The San Diego Film Festival is seeking volunteers for the 2013 festival held from Oct. 2-6. Managerial volunteers need to apply by Aug. 9, but other volunteers have until Aug. 23. Good luck, film buffs!
