It's National Doughnut Day: Where in Ramona Will You Celebrate?
The national holiday was started by the Salvation Army in 1938.

The first Friday in June is dedicated to airy, light dough that's been delightfully fried and covered in icing. Raise your cups of coffee, Ramona—it's National Doughnut Day.
According to ABC News, the holey holiday was started in 1938 by the Salvation Army to raise funds during the Great Depression and honor the female volunteers who served doughnuts to the soldiers on the front lines during World War I.
Big chains like Krispy Kreme and Dunkin' Donuts are handing out free, fried rings today, but we're more interested in where Ramonans are getting their doughnut fixes. Do you dunk yours in coffee or go for the gluten-free option?
Tell us in the comments, where in Ramona is your favorite place to get the sweet morning treat?
Psst: Make sure you wipe off that icing on your fingers before you type away!
