Monday Essentials: Ramona Jr. Fair, Groupon Deal and Tasty Tuesday

1. The Ramona Jr. Fair continues this week, with livstock weigh-ins, sheep showings swine shows and more. Check out the schedule online. The Ramona Jr. Fair goes through Aug. 4.

2. The Golf for a Cure! Tournament will be held this Friday at the San Vicente Golf Club. There will be various prizes and contests at the charity golf tourney. Cost is $100 per person and includes green fees, cart rental, Los Amigos Mexican food luncheon, prizes and refreshments.

3. The Ramona Community Planning Group will meet this Thursday, Aug. 1 in the Ramona Library at 7 p.m. Patch will post an agenda preview later this week.

4. Snag a local deal with Groupon's "$129 for a 90-minute horseback trail ride for two people with a wine-tasting." Residents will ride through Ramona's Milagro Farm Vineyard and Winery and leave feeling a little more appreciative of our gem of a town.

5. Things are turning tasty at the Ramona Library Tuesday. Two Summer Reading Club programs will be available at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. — Fruit and Veggie Painting and A Taste of Mexico, respectively. Which one will your kiddos attend?
