Monday Essentials: Sign Up for Golf Tournament and Soap Donations
Check out a video that was a hit among the locals and take note of special events happening this week.
1. Did you get a chance to see the Grasslands baby bald eagle in action? We posted a video by Billy Ortiz last week that generated hundreds of Facebook shares. Send it to someone to brighten their Monday!
2. Have you signed up for the local golf tourney yet? The charity game is Aug. 2 at Ramona's San Vicente Golf Club and is $100 per golfer. Sponsorships are also welcome.
3. Friends of Ramona Unified Schools are trying to raise $20,000 for 100 soap dispensers with two-years worth of sudsy liquid. Donations can be made by contacting Jane Tanaka at janetanaka@sv-mail.com.
4. Archer, the turkey in the Country Estates that survived an arrow through the chest, has died after being released back into the wild after surgery to remove the arrow.
5. Ramona Boys & Girls Club "Game On" week of day camps begins today. Camps are $99 per week per child, but there are discounts available for siblings! The camps run weekly through Aug. 23.
