Multi-Use San Vicente Pathway Opens in Ramona

Pedestrians, bicycles and horses now have a pathway along San Vicente Road between Ramona and the San Diego Country Estates.

RAMONA, CA -- On the afternoon of Nov. 30, San Diego County officials held a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the intersection of San Vicente Road and Deviney Lane for a new a multi-use track called known as the San Vicente Pathway.

The main artery of San Vicente Road between Ramona and the San Diego Country Estates had been a narrow two-lane roadway for years, but the San Vicente Road Improvement project increases safety by realigning the road, reducing curves and hills, improving line-of-sight, and adding safety features.

One main safety feature is the construction of a 2.2 mile multi-use equestrian, pedestrian, and bicycle pathway from Warnock Drive to 1,000 feet east of Wildcat Canyon Road.
