Fewer Homes Sold in Ramona in September, Median Sales Price Drops

Fewer homes were sold in Ramona in September compared to August and the median sales price dropped, the Greater San Diego Association of Realtors reported.

The latest report showed that 33 detached homes were sold in Ramona in September, down about 25 percent compared to the year to date average. The median sales price was $380,000, down slightly from the month before, but still about $95,000 higher than last year. 

The median is the price at which half of the homes sold for more and half sold for less. It is a better measure of a typical home price than the average, which can be skewed a handful of expensive homes.

Homes that sold in September were on the market an average of 58 days, down from 84 days a year ago, according to the report.

Prices for condominiums and townhouses rose to a median price of $208,800 in Ramona in September, but only three were sold.
