San Vicente Golf Club To Host 'Golfing for a Cure!' Tournament

The tournament will be a four-person best ball scramble on Aug. 2.

The second annual Golfing for a Cure! charity golf tournament is back in Ramona on Aug. 2, San Vicente Golf Club announced this week.

The tournament, put on by the Ramona Relay for Life Committee, is the third and final event in the season with all proceeds going to the American Cancer Society.

The first two events, the Relay for Life and Horsepower for Life (put on by San Diego Country Estates Association’s own Drille Divas) have raised a combined $42,467 to battle this disease that has touched so many. The goal to reach is $50,000.

John Hine Mazda is sponsoring a hole, granting a lucky golfer who might get a hole-in-one a new Mazda. Additionally, food will be provided, there will be raffle prizes and a putting and chipping contest. The format for the tournament will be a four-person best ball scramble, so all are welcome.

The entry fee is $100 per golfer. Sponsor a hole for $100 or dedicate a hole in honor of a friend or loved one for $50. For more information or to register, please contact Juli Elliott at 760-445-5583 or jules.elliott@live.com.
