SD County Sheriff To Perform DUI Checks for 4th of July
DUI checkpoints will be held in Poway and other nearby cities.
In an effort to curb drunk holiday driving, the San Diego County Sheriff's Department is pushing a countywide saturation patrol this Fourth of July weekend.
The crackdown is part of its "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" Campaign to stop impaired drivers and save lives on our roadways. Deputies and officers will be out on saturation patrols starting Wednesday, July 3 through Sunday, July 7.
DUI/Driver License Checkpoints are also scheduled in Poway on July 5 from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m.Other checkpoints will be held in Encinitas, National City, Oceanside, San Diego and Imperial Beach.
