Palomar Council PTA Offers $3K in Scholarships for PUSD Seniors

The Palomar Council PTA is proud to offer scholarships to PUSD seniors who plan to attend either a four year college or a two year college or technical school in the fall of 2013. 

Jessica Romag Memorial Scholarship:

This scholarship is intended for 4-year university applicants.

Jessica Romag was a Poway High School alumnus and student at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Jessica valued her faith, family and friends and participated in leadership activities, church groups and sports with great enthusiasm.

She was an excellent student with a sparkling personality, great sense of humor, and kind spirit. She was tragically killed in an automobile accident, and in her memory, the PTA is offering five $500 scholarships to be awarded in June 2013.  

Over the years, more than $18,000 has been provided to PUSD alums who are pursuing their academic goals and dreams. 

Jessica’s mother Mary says “we are honored to be able to carry on Jessica’s legacy through these scholarships and the wonderful young people we have helped over the years.”  Applicants must be seniors at one of the Poway Unified School District high schools and planning on attending a 4-year university in the fall. 

The deadline for applications is Wednesday, April 17, 2013, no exceptions.

Palomar Council Continuing Education Scholarship:

This scholarship is for those PUSD seniors who will be attending an accredited educational institution that provides up to two years of college-level academic, technical, or vocational instruction with an emphasis on career preparation.  

Two students will receive this scholarship in the amount of $250 each. 

The application due date is April 24, 2013, no exceptions.
