Dexter is pet of the week at your Rancho Coastal Humane Society. He’s a 2 year old, 60 pound, male, Husky / Shepherd mix.
Dexter is one of the dogs who arrived in San Diego on a Wings of Rescue flight from Louisiana as a result of Hurricane Laura. He was transferred to Rancho Coastal Humane Society through the FOCAS (Friends of County Animal Shelters) program.
Before that he lived with a family that had children who were 8 and 12 years old. His family gave him up because they were moving and couldn’t take Dexter along.

Dexter is a little bit shy. He needs a family that will help him build his confidence.
The $145 adoption fee for Dexter includes medical exams, vaccinations, neuter, registered microchip, and a one-year license if his new home is in the jurisdiction of San Diego Humane Society’s Department of Animal Services.
