San Diego County Foster Families Receive Computers for the Holidays
San Diego County and the San Diego Futures Foundation gave roughly 200 refurbished computers to local foster families.
SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA – Christmas came early this year for local foster families, thanks to San Diego County and the San Diego Futures Foundation.
As part of the Computers for Foster Families Program, the county and foundation recently teamed up to distribute roughly 200 refurbished computers to local foster families.
The Computers for Foster Families Program supports foster families by increasing computer and Internet access for some of the region’s most underserved children. The County Board of Supervisors created the foundation and Supervisor Greg Cox initiated the program in 2001 to provide free, refurbished county-owned computers to foster families.
