Gas Prices Dip Slightly, Hover Over $3 In Rancho Bernardo Area

San Diego County gas prices drop slightly for the third consecutive day after rising to its highest amount sine 2015.

SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA – Though gas prices have reportedly dipped across San Diego County, the cost of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline remains over $3 per gallon. Prices have dropped Wednesday for the third consecutive day after rising 13 times in 14 days to its highest amount since Sept. 19, 2015.

The increasing fuel prices were the result of disruption to "the entire supply chain" caused by Hurricane Harvey even though "California's gasoline and oil supplies do not come from the Gulf Coast," said Jeffrey Spring, the Automobile Club of Southern California's corporate communications manager.

The average San Diego County price dropped four-tenths of a cent to $3.153, according to figures from the AAA and the Oil Price Information Service. It decreased one-tenth of a cent on Monday and two-tenths of a cent on Tuesday after rising 16.6 cents over the previous 14 days.
