A Morning of Language and Laughter to Benefit the RB Library
Columnist and author Richard Lederer featured at 9:30 am Saturday event

Columnist and author Richard Lederer will present his unique brand of language and humor at the Rancho Bernardo Library at 9:30 am Saturday, Nov. 21. He is appearing at the annual meeting of the Rancho Bernardo Friends of the Library(RBLFriends) as a gesture of support for the group and its mission to support the library. There is no charge for this event, which includes a brief annual meeting of the RBLFriends.
Free refreshments are available at the presentation, which will be in the second floor community room in the Rancho Bernardo Library, 17110 Bernardo Center Drive. “We hope people in our community will join us for a morning of laughs and camaraderie, and at the same time learn a little about our group,” said Judy Levine, RBLFriends president.
Lederer is the author of more than 50 books about language, history, and humor, including his best-selling Anguished English series and his current books, Amazing Words, Lederer on Language, and Monsters Unchained. His syndicated column, “Lederer on Language,” appears in newspapers and magazines throughout the United States, including the San Diego Union-Tribune, and he is a founding co-host of “A Way With Words” on KPBS Public Radio.

“I look forward to my morning at the Rancho Bernardo Library and to meeting the people whom it so caringly serves,” Lederer said. “Libraries change lives.” He added his books will be available at the event, which he will inscribe and sign for those attending.![]()
